Mission:  The Gregory P. St. Amand Memorial benefits art, music, and scout projects for local youth in honor of Greg’s expressed desire to mentor creativity and nature appreciation in young people.

 2020 Memorial grants

Local nonprofit programs chosen to receive a 2020 Memorial grant:

WONDER WORKSHOP CHILDREN’S MUSEUM toward scholarships for Think Big Summer Camp.

MANHATTAN ARTS CENTER toward scholarships for art and music outreach programs.

BSA TROOP 75 toward scholarships for high adventure wilderness trips.

Our goal is to help offer life-enriching experiences to youth regardless of ability to pay, thus grants are typically earmarked for scholarships. Program development is also considered.

Grant applications are accepted in February each year. We encourage local nonprofit programs that meet the memorial’s mission to request a grant. Our grant opportunities grow each year thanks to donations and the good stewardship of the Greater Manhattan Community Foundation.

As of 2020, the memorial has given over $13,000 to local nonprofit projects benefiting kids.
